In Perm, the concert of the Russian pianist Polina Osetinskaya, who had previously spoken out against the conduct of a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, was canceled. The concert of Polina Osetinskaya was to be held at the private Perm Philharmonic “Triumph” on April 5. The cancellation of the performance of the artist became known the day before – April 4, around 17:00. The transfer of the concert was announced in the official group of the Philharmonic “Triumph” in the social network “VKontakte”.
“We have all been waiting for a meeting with Polina Osetinskaya for a very long time. Unfortunately, there were circumstances that the Philharmonic team cannot influence in any way. This transfer is a big blow for us as well,” the Philharmonic group says.
The private philharmonic group also notes that the Triumph audience has been waiting for the concert of Polina Osetinskaya since last October. Purchased tickets for the performance of the artist are invited to leave for the concert until the fall of 2023.
Recall that concerts have already been canceled at the pianist Polina Osetinskaya. According to Russian media, in February 2022, Ms. Osetinskaya shared an anti-war statement on social media. In September 2022, the pianist’s performance was canceled in Irkutsk. And the St. Petersburg Philharmonic named after Shostakovich did not hold a musical evening of Polina Osetinskaya, scheduled for September 3rd.
