Competitions for the Chukotka Governor’s Cup will be held in March-April

In the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, from March 26 to April 9, competitions for the Governor’s Cup will be held. The dates were determined at a meeting of the regional Government. Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov announced this.
“Last year we decided at meetings with athletes that we would revive the Governor’s Cup competition in the district. We’ll see how these competitions go, and I think next year we’ll expand the number of sports that will be represented at the Cup,” noted Vladislav Kuznetsov.
This year, basketball, volleyball and table tennis competitions among men and women, as well as mini-football competitions among men, are planned. Participants will be athletes over 16 years of age from all municipalities of the district – a total of 280 participants. As a result, the best municipality will receive the Challenge Cup of the Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
