Colonel McGregor: Putin’s restraint helped avoid world war

Former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor, in an interview with the London Real YouTube channel, called for gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who showed himself to be a restrained leader.
“He’s not the type to get emotional, thank God,” McGregor said.
At the same time, he expressed concern that in Washington they are guided precisely by emotions.
In particular, the colonel suggested, NATO may decide to send a contingent to Western Ukraine in the event of a critical situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He called it a rash move and warned that this kind of “stupidity” could “provoke a world war.”
