A homemade drone with cameras fell on the territory of a strategically important facility – the Fakel plant in Khimki near Moscow. According to Air Defense Colonel Yuri Knutov, the enemy is actively conducting reconnaissance in order to later attack the plant where air defense systems are produced with more serious weapons. In addition, the expert told where the enemy apparatus was launched from.

Recall that on the morning of April 6, it became known about the attack on a plant near Moscow. The drone on the territory of the defense enterprise was discovered by one of the guards while walking around the territory. Structurally, the drone measuring 30 by 30 centimeters resembled a quadrocopter, but had signs of a handicraft assembly. Several cameras were fixed on the body. According to preliminary information, the drone fell due to communication jammers. The police are now searching for its owner.

The plant, where the drone flew unauthorized, produces components of the Tor and S-400 air defense systems, as well as the upgraded S-300 and Osa. The drone was found and neutralized.

According to military expert, director of the Air Defense Museum Yuri Knutov, the enemy is preparing to attack the plant with more powerful weapons.

“It is obvious that this drone was launched from our territory,” the expert believes. I believe he was doing intelligence. Perhaps it was bought somewhere here under the guise of helping our military on the line of contact. But in reality it was used by saboteurs to carry out reconnaissance activities. We launched it for a specific purpose – to better understand which objects are located where. With such a calculation, in order to later try to attack them with the help of more serious drones – the Tu-141 Swift.
