Acting head of the Federal Customs Service Ruslan Davydov said that the FCS collected 186 billion rubles. from exporting companies as a result of the introduction on October 1, 2023 of an export duty tied to the ruble exchange rate, reports Interfax.

At the end of December Mr. Davydov assessed duty collection of 117 billion rubles. The duties specifically apply to alcohol, tobacco, fish and dairy products, sugar, confectionery, cocoa, mining products, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, precious metals, coal and fertilizers.

The duty is 4% for exchange rates of more than 80 rubles. and less than 85 rub. per dollar, 4.5% – at an exchange rate of 85–90 rubles. per dollar, 5.5% – more than 90 rubles. and up to 95 rub. per dollar, and 7% – at an exchange rate above 95 rubles. inclusive. The duties will remain in effect until the end of this year.
