CNN: The West can’t give Ukraine enough shells

Western countries are facing difficulties in supplying the necessary quantities of ammunition needed by Ukraine. CNN writes about this.
Almost 18 months after the start of the conflict, there is a significant gap between Ukraine’s need for shells and the ability of European and American production to meet this demand, the article notes. There are also concerns about the inadequacy of European arms manufacturers to meet these needs.
Despite international sanctions, Russia is able to quickly produce artillery ammunition, surpassing the West in this area, analysts point out. Moreover, unlike Russia, Western countries have not yet developed a way to produce cheap and standardized projectiles in large volumes.
