Climatologists have called a new consequence of global warming

A group of climate scientists from several countries, led by Christopher Doughty of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, concluded that a 4-degree Celsius increase in average global temperatures would lead to a halt in tropical plant photosynthesis.
Scientists conducted calculations showing that when heated to plus 46.7 Celsius, the process of photosynthesis in the leaves stops. Now the crowns of tropical trees warm up to plus 34, and in hot weather – more than plus 40.
Climatologists, who reported their results in the journal Nature, suggested that global warming could reach these levels at the beginning of the 22nd century.
