Eco-activists from the group “Last Generation” in April expect to block the whole of Berlin, arranging the largest action, writes the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.
According to the plans of climate activists, the capital of Germany will be “paralyzed” as a result of a series of major actions. The activity of eco-activists is scheduled to start on April 19, and it will last for 2 weeks.
It is also estimated that they will need about 160 people per day to implement the plans.
More than 650 Last Generation supporters have so far declared their intention to participate in civil resistance in Berlin since mid-April, according to information posted on the ecoactivist movement’s website. In particular, they are going to block roads by sticking themselves to them, as well as march and interfere with traffic. According to the newspaper, the activists do not plan to warn about the beginning of the action.
According to the newspaper, visiting activists who will take part in the actions in Berlin are also planning to provide pre-rented housing.
