The city championship in cycling for the prizes of the winner of the World Cycling Race Yuri Zakharov will be held in Pskov next Saturday, June 10. As the press service of the city administration told MK in Pskov, the event will be dedicated to the Day of Russia.
For the safety of participants and spectators, traffic in the city is again planned to be blocked on a number of streets. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., motorists will not be able to drive along Sportivnaya Street, as well as along a section of Grazhdanskaya Street (from Oktyabrsky prospect to Jan Fabricius street). At the same time, a section of Jan Fabritius Street will be unavailable for traffic (from Grazhdanskaya street to Kuznetskaya street) and a section of Kuznetskaya Street (from Victory Square to Sportivnaya Street). Stopping cars during these hours on the named streets will also be prohibited.
It should be noted that the scheme of public transport in connection with the cycling race will also undergo changes. Buses plying in Pskov along the routes No. 8, 8A and 19 they will drive through Victory Square, and then Sovetskaya, Vokzalnaya and Bastionnaya streets, leaving for Oktyabrsky Prospekt. Public transport stops are not cancelled.
