Chuvashia rapid and blitz chess championships were held in Cheboksary

The capital of Chuvashia hosted the republic’s rapid and blitz chess championships.
The winner in both disciplines among men was FIDE Master from Cheboksary Andrey Safronov, among women – Anna Khmeleva.
Andrey Grigoriev (Tsivilsky Municipal District) took second place in the blitz among men, and Vladimir Stepanov (Cheboksary) took third place. Second in rapid chess was Sergei Spiridonov (Komsomolsk District), third – Alexander Grigoriev (Cheboksary).
In women’s blitz, Khmeleva’s company in the top three was made up of Cheboksary representatives Elena Artemyeva and Valentina Davydova, who took second and third places, respectively. In rapid chess, Davydova became third, and Olga Andreeva (Cheboksary district) took second place.
