Weightlifters from Chuvashia won ten medals at the championship and the championship of the Volga region.
Bugulma hosted the championship and championship of the Volga Federal District in weightlifting. More than two hundred athletes took part in them. The national team of Chuvash athletes received the cup for the first place, and the youth team took the third team place. Athletes won three gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
The first places in their categories were taken by Lyubov Myshova, Semyon Mareev and Vsevolod Silin. Silver medals – Anastasia Abramova, Violetta Baimulkina, Olga Komarova, Nikita Antonov. Bronze was taken by Alexander Krasnov, Andrey Kayukov and Vera Nikitina, reports regional ministry of sports.
