I accidentally switched – and could not tear myself away. I stayed there and I don’t regret it. It was a semi-final, but it turned out to be a session of white magic (well, not black!), mass hypnosis. The atmosphere that takes place there is incomparable to anything. You can’t invent it, you can’t create it intentionally. It can only be lived.

“Voice” – this is the very ray of light in the dark realm. They sing with their hearts, nothing else. This is not an exaggeration, not a beautiful stamped phrase. So it really is. Instruction from everyone – participants, spectators, guests: sing with your heart. And Anna Asti from the support group said exactly that: only with her heart, with all her heart.

Yana Churikova completely replaced Nagiyev. There are no irreplaceable ones. Yes, Dima’s famous irony has disappeared, but an excellent Russian language has appeared, a pro of a very high standard and his own empathy inherent only to her.

As always, the jury is a separate song. Here my greatest charm is Vova Presnyakov. No, the “veterans of the stage” – Basta, Gagarina – are good, smart in their own way, and Basta generally seems to be a very decent person with whom … yes, even in intelligence. But Presny is on a special note here. It’s nice to look at a 55-year-old boy who has suddenly become so wise and understanding. In that flower garden, in his select team, he will no longer do business, and the participating girls will return to their relatives and friends safe and sound. I like this Vova much more than the previous one; however, youth is given to a person in order to show off enough, to be a little reckless.

Some disappointment – Anton Belyaev. The participant, the guy sang a song … Such a famous one, which Nikolai Noskov always sang. Sang and sings. How he sings! This number looked like a sign of sincere, necessary support for Nikolai – you all know what happened to him. And Anton: “I hear this song for the first time.” At first?! Then why did you end up on this jury, impostor? Well, I’m so, in my hearts, after all, this show is a high voltage line.

Show must go on? Yes, of course, now I say just that and wait for the finale. I got hit, hit. They all come off there, jump up, dance. Live music. This sincerity, sincerity penetrates through the screen to every viewer.

WE DO NOT NEED THIS HOCKEY!

Looking at what they show us on Match TV, I want to say: why do we need hockey if there is no Russia there. It doesn’t sound as catastrophic as in the original, but still … Or, in Ozerov’s way, backhand: we don’t need such hockey.

Some kind of Canada, some kind of Czech Republic, some kind of Sweden… What are they doing there without Russia, what are they doing? Hockey without Russia is not hockey at all, but some kind of perversion.

Of course, Russia is not the USSR, and our hockey has become different. Not so combinational, whirlwind, smart, circus. But still … And for whom to root? For Kazakhstan? The only joy is for our former cohabitants from Latvia, for the Russian (sorry, Russian-speaking) city of Riga, where everyone speaks great and mighty.

Or maybe not to give all the best, not to give them the soul? If we don’t exist, then there won’t be those defeats, disappointments, when you don’t want to live. Look purely aesthetically, without anger and predilections, like in the movies. I can not. Without our people, without Russia, hockey ceases to be a game for me, it turns into something abstract, lifeless. We don’t need this kind of hockey!

HERO OF OUR TIME

Pyotr Todorovsky was remembered at OTR, his films were shown all week. “Such a wonderful game”, “Military field novel”, “Beloved woman mechanic Gavrilov”, “Anchor, more anchor!”, “Magician” … This is a classic of the genre, of course.

It is your own, you will confuse it with no one. There is so much life, passionate life, backhand, without restraint. And so much lyrics, poetry, Yesenin. But often everything ends badly, on a sigh. What a terrible life. How wonderful to live! And the whole of Todorovsky is between “beautiful” and “terrible”.

He himself, Pyotr Efimovich, was an unusually warm, sincere person. Very kind. And very talented. Everyone around him lived with talent. The magnificent wife of Mir, the producer of his life and his cinema, who herself made a film about Stalin’s wife. Son Valery, as brilliant as his father. And another Peter, the grandson, is also a very good director, young and early.

Todorovsky’s films are extraordinarily modern, from the first, “Fidelity”, “The Magician” to the last. There is so much life in them … Literally in every frame. This is really the hero of our time.
