On Monday, December 11, in Anadyr, the results of the district festival of the physical culture and health complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” among law enforcement officers were summed up. The Typhoon team of the regional department of the Russian Guard retained its leadership, becoming the best for the third year in a row, reports the Chukotka news agency.

According to the Anadyr administration, five teams from district departments participated in the festival. These are “Typhoon” of the Russian Guard, “Snezhinki” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the bailiff service and “Strong in Spirit” of the military unit. Each of them had six people – four men and two women. The age of the participants is from 29 to 38 years, which corresponds to levels 9-11 of the GTO.

Competitions between security forces continued over the past week. On the opening day of the festival, team members fulfilled “power standards.” These are standing long jumps, pull-ups, abdominal exercises, push-ups. Then the organizers tested the accuracy, flexibility and endurance of the “athletes in uniform.”

“In the overall standings, for the third year in a row, the team from the district administration of the National Guard won the victory. The siloviki scored 2324 points. The team “Snezhinki” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs fell 171 points behind the leader. With a result of 2010 points, the FSSP of Russia closes the podium. Among the women, police officer Maria Puchkova became the most athletic, and among the men, Russian Guard member Vadim Matafonov showed the best training,” said Ruslan Diev, head of the sports and tourism department of the Anadyr city district administration.

The winners of the GTO festival retained the challenge cup of the competition. The remaining participants received certificates, medals and souvenirs with the symbols of the festival. This event was held under the municipal subprogram “Development of physical culture and sports in the urban district of Anadyr for 2020 – 2025.”
