Christmas Gala Hockey Match at the GUM Ice Rink

A 20-degree frost did not prevent football players, artists and politicians from playing hockey near the walls of the Kremlin.
On January 9, Red Square hosted a Christmas gala hockey match with the participation of the Star of Russia and PARI Moscow teams.
Professional athletes (both active and retired) and public figures took to the ice. The hockey match was held in a warm (especially given the almost abnormal frost for the capital) family atmosphere and attracted a large number of spectators and media representatives.
Footballers who played for the Russian national team and Russian clubs, as well as well-known journalists, played for the PARI Moscow team: Andrey Arshavin, Alexander Mostovoy, Roman Shirokov, Dmitry Sychev, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Dmitry Loskov, Yuri Zhirkov, Vadim Evseev, Vladimir Bystrov, Vladimir Beschastnykh, Alexander Prudnikov, Petr Bystrov, Sergey Gorelov, Roman Khristich, Dmitry Kiryukhin, Evgeny Konobry, Sabir Khamzin , Alexander Klyuev, Vasily Ivanov.
As part of the Star of Russia team, Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexei Kondarantsev, Sergey Gimaev, Stas Yarushin, Alexander Guskov, Alexander Belsky, Denis Abdullin and others took to the ice.
The Zvezda Rossii team beat PARI Moscow with a score of 7:3.
The best scorer of the match was Alexei Kondarantsev, who scored a hat-trick for the Star of Russia. He, along with Alexei Bezprozvannykh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, was named one of the two best players on the winning team. As part of PARI-Moscow, Andrey Arshavin and Roman Shirokov were recognized as the best.
The event was organized by the All-Russian Public Fund for Support and Development of Sports of the Russian Federation.
