Special Representative of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui plans to travel to Brussels before his arrival in Moscow. This will happen as part of his European tour dedicated to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The South China Morning Post reports that Li Hui recently visited Ukraine, where he met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kuleba noted the unacceptability of proposals that provide for the loss of territories or the freezing of the conflict by Kyiv. According to the newspaper, Li Hui is planning to visit Brussels next week, although this information is not indicated in the official schedule of the tour of the special representative of the PRC.
Li Hui is expected to meet in Brussels with Gunnar Wiegand, Managing Director for Asia and Oceania at the European External Action Service. According to the publication, after a visit to Ukraine, Li Hui will return to Poland on May 18 and stay there until May 21.
