Man scares 1,100 neighborhood chickens to death and goes to jail
A Chinese man quarreled with a neighbor and, in revenge, scared 1,100 chickens belonging to the enemy to death. It is reported by CNN.
The incident happened in the southeastern province of Hunan. A man named Gu got into an argument with his neighbor Zhong because Zhong cut down trees on his property without asking.
Gu decided to take revenge and at night made his way to a bird farm owned by a neighbor, taking a flashlight. In the chicken room, he abruptly turned it on and pointed it at the birds. The chickens began to run away in a panic and hide in corners, crushing each other.
Gu did this trick twice, on his first “visit” 500 chickens were killed, on the second – 600. After the first time, he was detained and fined 3,000 yuan (about $436). For the second time, the man was no longer on ceremony and was given six months in prison with one year of probation.
