Chinese IFlytek will create an alternative to ChatGPT

Voice recognition company IFlytek from China plans to create a competitor to the “smart” chatbot ChatGPT. About it informed Bloomberg.

Competitors to ChatGPT are already emerging in China. April 7 Alibaba Group introduced a generative artificial intelligence (AI) model of Tongyi Qianwen, which will be used for corporate communications, e-commerce, Internet search, transportation routing, entertainment, and an intelligent voice assistant. It will be integrated into the DingTalk messenger and Tmall Genie voice assistant, and then into all the company’s applications. Presentations of new AI technologies take place against the backdrop of restrictions from the Chinese authorities. The day before, on April 10, the China Payments and Clearing Industry Association issued a warning: the use of services like ChatGPT carries the risk of cross-border data leakage.
