Representatives of the Chinese diplomatic mission in the European Union said that China is seriously concerned about the statements of the North Atlantic Alliance regarding the fact that NATO is a “nuclear alliance”.
They specified that such statements could further exacerbate regional tensions.
Recall that after the first day of the summit in Vilnius, the representatives of the alliance made a final statement in which they said that NATO would take all steps to ensure the effectiveness and security of the nuclear deterrence mission.
“We believe that the words of the representatives of the alliance that NATO is a “nuclear alliance” will further exacerbate regional tensions. China, in turn, expresses deep concern,” the diplomatic department noted.
