China spacecraft finds ocean traces on Mars

The Chinese automatic interplanetary station “Tianwen-1” found traces of water on Mars. This confirms the hypothesis of the existence of an ocean on the planet in the past. Xinhua with reference to the China National Space Administration (CNSA).
According to the agency, “due to a comprehensive study of typical landforms, a relationship between their formation and water activity has been identified.” The spacecraft also found hydrous minerals near its landing site, CNSA said.
