China named the priorities of its presidency of the UN Security Council

The priority for China during the presidency of the UN Security Council, which passed to China on November 1, will be the settlement of the Middle East conflict. China’s permanent representative to the world organization, Zhang Jun, spoke about this on Wednesday, November 1.
The diplomat recalled that this topic has remained the focus of the council’s attention over the past few weeks, and it will remain the focus of the work of the UN Security Council under the Chinese presidency.
At the same time, the PRC expects to discuss a range of other issues on the international agenda, including Ukraine, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Libya, as well as the possibility of prolonging restrictions on Somalia.
Earlier, a representative of the Turkish presidential administration, Fahrettin Altun, said that Ankara plans establish new international bodiesin which many countries will participate, since the UN Security Council is no longer able to solve global problems.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova pointed out that even after the death of thousands of children in the Gaza Strip, certain political forces in the West unable to develop a UN Security Council resolution on a ceasefire and pacification of the situation in the region.
