Children from Kharkiv and Kherson regions visited the Pskov-Caves Monastery

Today, August 30, in the Holy Dormition Pskov-Caves Monastery, a meeting was held between children from the Russian-controlled regions of the Kharkiv and Kherson regions of Ukraine with Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov) of Pskov and the governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov. After the meeting, a tour of the monastery was organized for the children.

Children from Kharkiv and Kherson regions arrived in the Pskov region with the support of the public organization “Grandchildren” within the framework of the project “Where the Motherland Begins”. The trip was organized at the initiative of Governor Vedernikov: he supported the request to organize adaptation trips to Russia for children from the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, as well as regions of Ukraine under the control of the Russian military. Now 60 children from the Kherson and Kharkov regions are undergoing a special program of socialization and adaptation in the Pskov region with the support of the regional education committee. During the summer months, “Grandchildren” took about 200 children from the LPR, DPR and eastern regions of Ukraine for vacations and excursions to Russia, in particular to Moscow, the Krasnodar Territory and the Rostov Region. All trips are sponsored.
