Chess matches were held in one of the regions of Kalmykia in honor of the memorable date

A tournament dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan took place in the Oktyabrsky district of Kalmykia.

The organizers noted that on February 15 they honor veterans not only of this war, but also those who participated in more than 30 armed conflicts outside the country. In the village of Bolshoy Tsaryn, on the eve of the memorable date, chess competitions were held.

According to the results of the games, Evgeniy Mukabenov took first place. Bata Dodonov became the silver medalist, Igor Pechenkin had the third result. The judges also noted two participants in the categories: “Youngest Chess Player” – Aitsan Vaskeyev, “Lady of Chess” – Maria Gasanova.
