Chernyshenko: more than 52% of large organizations in the country implement AI in their activities

Today, more than 52% of large organizations in the country are implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in their activities, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. He took part in the ceremony of signing an agreement on cooperation between business and the state on roadmaps for high-tech areas, including AI.
“According to the developers of the roadmap, the contribution of this sector to Russia’s GDP by 2025 may be up to 2%. As part of the roadmap, it is planned to create more than 60 promising technological solutions. Their effectiveness will be assessed by the increase in the volume of the Russian market of AI technologies,” said Chernyshenko, quoted by the press service.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the volume of the Russian AI market by 2030 should be at least 20 billion rubles, that is, it will at least double.
The head of Sberbank, German Gref, who also took part in the event, noted that the bank has been actively involved in the development of AI for several years, not only in banking processes, but throughout the country. “We are actively participating in the implementation of the national strategy for the development of artificial intelligence until 2030, introducing artificial intelligence technologies into all our business processes, developing a community of data scientists and much more,” he added.
In November 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at the Sberbank Artifical Intelligence Journey conference. There, the head of state noted that now the importance of breakthroughs in the field of AI is colossal, the rivalry between states is fierce.
He noted that in the top three in the digitalization of public services are South Korea, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, which are partners of Russia. Russia itself is among the top ten global leaders in this indicator. Putin said that AI technologies should be used for various industries, as they increase productivity, some industries grow by 20-30% per decade due to this.
