Chernyshenko instructed to submit a roadmap for cooperation in the field of AI

The National Center for the Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) under the Russian government will begin work in September, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko said during the plenary session of the Army-2022 international military-technical forum, transmits TASS.

“This center will become a key platform for finding and analyzing effective solutions in the field of artificial intelligence for business, science and the state,” Chernyshenko said. He also noted that the AI ​​Development Center will help unlock the competencies of more than 2,000 participants in research institutions, governments, technology corporations, communities and developers.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, leading research centers, developers and infrastructure organizations will sign a memorandum on scientific and technological cooperation. Chernyshenko also instructed research organizations and developers to create a roadmap for the development of scientific and technological cooperation in the field of AI and submit it to the government in a month.

He noted the high efficiency of using artificial intelligence for the Russian economy. In particular, in 2021, the total contribution to the GDP of Russian organizations that use AI technologies amounted to more than 22 trillion rubles. The most cost-effective application of these technologies is in the healthcare and social sectors, as well as in organizations from the financial sector.
