Chernomorochka handball players won their first victory in the Super League
Novorossiysk "Chernomorochka" beat Moscow "Luch" in the 3rd round of the Women's Handball Super League. For the Kuban team, debuting in the strongest division of the country, this victory was the first of the season.
The result of the match, which took place in Moscow, was 29:26 in favor of Alexey Gumyanov’s team. The visitors won the first half with a score of 14:9, but soon after the break the equality was established at 16:16. The fate of the meeting remained unknown until the last minutes. The Kuban handball players had a better ending to the match.
For Chernomorochka, the team captain Natalya Nikitina was the most productive - 10 of her 14 shots were accurate. Ekaterina Nefedova scored 9 times. Novorossiysk club goalkeeper Elizaveta Dyachenko saved 42 percent of shots on her own goal (11 out of 26). Martina Borisova scored 8 goals for Luch.
With two points, the Novorossiysk club ranks 8th among 12 Super League participants.
On September 22, Chernomorochka will play at home against the Maikop club AGU-Adyif.
