In the skating center “Kolomna” in the Moscow region, the All-Russian starts – the Russian Championship in short track speed skating – have ended. Chelyabinsk short track skaters of the L.P. Skoblikova sports school in speed skating won two medals.
Ekaterina Efremenkova, European champion and world championship medalist, took the gold medal in the all-around sum. Silver was won by Anna Matveeva, who collected a full set of awards at the last Russian short track championship in Kolomna.
In the men’s all-around, the Olympic champion Semyon Yelistratov won.
Previously, “MK” reported that with 16 to 22 December in Miass, Chelyabinsk region, the Cup of Russia in alpine skiing was held. The participant of two Olympic Games, the Kaluga mountain skier Alexander Andrienko became the champion of competitions. The athlete won the fifth stage of the giant slalom.
