A striking example of this are the hockey players of the Chelyabinsk club “White Bears”. The correspondent of “Vecherny Chelyabinsk” visited the training and personally made sure that charming and cute athletes are hiding behind the massive equipment.
It is on the ice that the hockey players of the “Polar Bears” are serious and concentrated, and outside of it, the athletes can hardly be distinguished from other girls. Like many, they like to arrange bachelorette parties, go to the cinema, walk, taste sweets in coffee shops.
However, the bears can combine girlish whims, femininity and harsh sports even in training and games. For example, you can even afford a manicure. The main thing here, hockey players admit, is to choose the right form. You make it a little longer than the norm, and the nails risk breaking right under the leggings.
Representatives of the hockey team are not deprived of attention. They say that when people around them learn about playing hockey, the reactions are different. The goalkeeper of the “Polar Bears” Anna Vinogradova admits that at first it shocks someone, but then, on the contrary, it arouses interest.
As Anna herself said in an interview with Vecherka, she initially came to hockey as a field player. However, the choice of further role predetermined one case when a girl accidentally ended up at the gate as a reserve goalkeeper.
“They put this uniform on me, I went out, squirming, to training and immediately caught a flying puck with a trap. I liked it. She said courage, or something. After that, I approached the coach and said that I wanted to be a goalkeeper. At the age of 15, I came to Chelyabinsk, to the Fakel team that existed at that time. And so I began to defend the gates on an ongoing basis, ”recalls Anna Vinogradova.
The hockey player also has her own tradition – to go out on the ice and do everything on the left side.
