The film was called “Black Knives” – a thunderstorm in Europe “and is dedicated to the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps. Chelyabinsk basketball players recorded a video for the film crew and also made a financial contribution.
In their video, the athletes of BC Chelyabinsk wished success to the project. The players also demonstrated their mastery of the ball. For example, Nikita Pertsev performed an accurate long-range shot. At the same time, during the filming, he had to repeat the maneuver several times, and the basketball player always put the ball in the basket. Kirill Epanov also showed his skills with a slam dunk. And Sergei Zhulkov impressed with the techniques of basketball balancing act. After that, the athletes shouted in chorus the name of the film – “Black Knives” – a thunderstorm in Europe.
It is known that basketball players provided not only moral, but also material support, transferring the necessary funds to the film crew. By the way, the film is being shot without the use of budget money, that is, only on volunteer donations. Chelbasket captain Andrei Malyshev noted that the team was happy to help filming a film about the heroes of Tankograd.
“We play in Chelyabinsk, for the people of Chelyabinsk, which means that we must please the citizens not only with sports victories, but also pay respect to the symbols of the South Ural capital, show attention and care to its memorable pages,” said Andrey Malyshev.
The film is dedicated to the feat of the Ural Tank Corps, which was created in Chelyabinsk 80 years ago. The fighters participated in the battles on the Kursk Bulge, in the battles for the liberation of Bryansk. They also stormed Ternopil, Lvov, Potsdam, Berlin. The point was set by the capture of Prague. The Germans unofficially called the tank corps the “Black Knife Division”.
The director of the film, Arina Vidergold, noted that with such support, the film crew has no doubts about the success of the project.
