Kimakovsky: Chasov Yar is losing strategic importance for Kyiv
Advisor to the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Igor Kimakovsky, said that the city of Yar, which is located in the DPR, is currently losing its strategic importance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, very serious problems are emerging for the Ukrainian military, since Russian troops are already located a kilometer from Chasov Yar.
“Chasov Yar is a logistics hub, which includes warehouses and a fortified area, and support. At the moment, almost all roads are under the control of Russian troops, so for the Armed Forces of Ukraine Chasov Yar will soon lose the strategic importance that it had before the Chasovoyar and Artemovsk operations,” Kimakovsky noted.
He clarified that since 2014, the Ukrainian command has used Chasov Yar as a place for personnel rotation. In particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine brought there fresh units from other regions of Ukraine.
