Charles III and Camilla have an “illegitimate son”

In April 2005, the Prince of Wales married his longtime mistress Camilla Parker-Bowles. This wedding seems to have put an end to the tumultuous amorous affairs of Prince Charles.

According to the tabloid press, Charles, in his youth, had a rich experience of intimate communication with persons of the opposite sex. Among the girlfriends of the heir to the throne were called Georgiana Russell, daughter of the British ambassador to Spain, Sir John Russell, as well as Lady Jane Wellesley, daughter of the 8th Duke of Wellington. There were even rumors that Charles was deeply in love with actress Barbra Streisand and allegedly they had a secret date at the hotel.

It is known that in 1979 Prince Charles proposed to his second cousin Amanda Knatchbull, the granddaughter of the last Viceroy of India, Louis Mountbatten, but the girl, who lost several relatives as a result of a terrorist attack carried out by Irish militants, did not give consent to the marriage.

In the end, as is well known, the wife of the then quite young crown prince was Diana Spencer, the younger sister of Sarah Spencer (with whom, according to rumors, Charles had a “relationship”). It was rumored that none other than Camilla Shand (later known as Parker Bowles) helped him in choosing a bride.

Charles’ current wife is about a year and a half older than him. Camilla was born in 1947 to Major Bruce Shand and Rosalind Cubitt, eldest daughter of the 3rd Baron Ashcombe.

Charles and Camilla met in 1970 at a polo game in Windsor. They were introduced to each other by an old friend, Lucia Santa Cruz.

“My great-grandmother and your great-grandfather were lovers,” Camilla began her acquaintance with the prince with these words. Indeed, according to the media, Alice Keppel, Camilla’s maternal great-grandmother, had a romantic relationship with King Edward VII, Charles’s great-grandfather. It is said that she was so close to the monarch that, as they lay dying, she was admitted to his deathbed.

The tradition was not interrupted, a romance also began between Charles and Camilla, in which a fly in the ointment was brought by a relative of the prince, Earl Mountbatten of Burma, who reminded his nephew of the principle of the royal family of treating mistresses – “bedded-can’t -be-wedded”).

In general, Lord Mountbatten advised Charles: “In a case like yours, a man should quit all his affairs and start as many novels as possible before settling down, but a suitable, attractive girl with a sweet character should be chosen as a wife before she meet someone else that she might like.”

Be that as it may, the wedding of two young lovers – Charles and Camilla – at that time did not have to even dream of. Their romance continued, flaring up, then fading. Charles went into the Navy, and Camilla married Andrew Parker-Bowles, an army officer, friend of the Prince of Wales and godson of the Queen Mother.

But this did not become an obstacle to the continuation of the love relationship between the bachelor Charles and the married Camilla. Andrew Parker-Bowles turned a blind eye to the situation and got himself a mistress, who later became his second wife.

Charles also started a family in 1981 by marrying Lady Diana Spencer. But this marriage was doomed, it seems, from the very beginning. Several years passed after the wedding – and rumors began to appear in the newspapers that everything was wrong in the family of the Prince of Wales. Charles continued to meet with Camilla, and Princess Diana began to fall in love with her riding instructor, security guard James Hewitt.

Women who were once in a friendly relationship, of course, hated each other. Diana called Camilla “Rottweiler”, and she called her “stupid” and “crazy”.

One day, at a birthday party for Camille’s sister, Annabelle Elliot, Diana suddenly appeared and told her rival: “I know what’s going on between you and Charles, and I just want you to know about it.” To this, Camilla retorted to her: “You got everything you wanted. You got all the men in the world in love with you, you got two beautiful kids, what else do you want?”

Lady Dee answered: “I want my husband … I want to know what is happening. Don’t take me for an idiot.”

In the early nineties, the whole story of the women of the Prince of Wales became public. In 1996, Charles and Diana finally divorced. Camilla also broke up with Andrew Parker-Bowles.

So hiding the prince and his mistress no longer made sense. True, Queen Elizabeth II was extremely disapproving of Camilla. But already in 2000, the head of the monarchy came to a dinner in honor of the birthday of the Greek king in exile, Constantine (a close friend of Prince Charles), where Camilla was also present. In fact, by doing so, Her Majesty demonstrated that she was resigned to the existence of this woman in the life of the heir to the British throne.

And in 2003, the Church of England loosened the rules on remarriage for divorced people, ruling that, in exceptional cases, divorcees can remarry even if their ex-spouses are still alive.

In February 2005, Prince Charles officially announced his engagement to Camilla and gave her an engagement ring that belonged to his grandmother. Not everyone in Britain liked it. Nine applications were submitted to the UK civil registry office from individuals objecting to the upcoming wedding.

However, the marriage of the Prince of Wales took place on April 8, 2005. For the first time in the history of the British royal family, the marriage ceremony was held in a civil rather than a church order. After her marriage, Camilla Parker-Bowles became known as “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall”.

And in February of this year, Elizabeth II publicly announced her desire that after Charles’s accession to the throne, his wife would be proclaimed “Queen Consort”. That is, the queen consort as a ruler has an equal rank with her husband-king and bears a monarchical title, but does not have the political and military powers of a regent. In this she differs from the reigning queen, who has all the powers of the monarch and inherits the throne after the death of her predecessor. In other words, if Camilla survives King Charles III, she will not be able to take the throne, which should go to Prince William.

Given the different circumstances and the age at which Charles and Camilla got married, the couple has no common children and is not expected. True, last year the press reported that a resident of Australia showed up, calling himself the child of the Prince of Wales and Mrs. Parker Bowles.

Now living on the Green Continent in Queensland but born in Britain, 56-year-old Simon Charles Dorante-Day, now the father of nine children, insists that he is related by blood to members of the British royal family.

Simon was conceived in 1965 and born in April of the following year in Gosport, near Portsmouth – that is, several years before, according to the official version, Charles and Camilla first met. However, the Australian claims that back in 1998, his adoptive grandmother told him that the Duchess of Cornwall was his mother. After doing his own “investigation”, Simon believes he has enough evidence – for example: his “Windsor cheekbones and teeth” and “Camille-style hair.” He regularly shares photos of his children online, often placing xs next to photos of members of the royal family to “prove” the resemblance. The man said several times that he would like a DNA test to confirm his family connection. But neither Charles nor Camilla responded to his claims.
