Chairman of the Board of Zenit Alexander Medvedev said that St. Petersburg is without a doubt the football capital of the country. The functionary expressed his opinion in an interview with RB Sport.
Medvedev also called on Spartak to prove by their actions that they are the people’s team.
Currently, the blue-white-blues are in first place in the RPL standings with 40 points in two dozen games, and Spartak, in turn, is only in sixth place with 31 points.
Previously Medvedev commented the game between Zenit and the Moscow club, which ended with a score of 0:0. According to the functionary, Spartak deserved a draw.
