“Chaika” will play the third match of the series against “Mammoths Ugra”

Hockey players of the Nizhny Novgorod “Chaika” continue to compete in the playoffs of the Kharlamov Cup of the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod is the current holder of the trophy and has shown excellent results during the current regular season. Based on the results of 50 regular season matches played, Chaika took 4th place in the Golden Division of the Eastern Conference. Only representatives from Omsk, Chelyabinsk and Khanty-Mansiysk performed better than the youth team. In the first round of the playoffs, Chaika met with Irbis and won the series with a score of 3:1.

In the second round of the Kharlamov Cup playoffs, Chaika faced Mammoth Ugra from Khanty-Mansiysk, who became the best in the Golden Division of the Eastern Conference. According to the results of two matches in the confrontation between “Seagulls” and “Mammoths Ugra” there was a draw. First, “Mammoths of Ugra” won with a score of 2:0, and the next day “Chaika” took convincing revenge. The second match of the series ended in victory for the Seagulls with a score of 4:1. Thus, the series moves to Nizhny Novgorod, where it may come to an end.

Let us remind you that the matches of the 1/4 finals of the Kharlamov Cup playoffs between “Chaika” and “Mammoths Ugra” will take place on March 22 and 23.
