Hockey players of the Nizhny Novgorod “Chaika” continue to compete in the playoffs of the Kharlamov Cup of the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod shows excellent results during the 2023-2024 season, finishing the regular season on one of the first lines in the standings of the Golden Division of the Eastern Conference. Based on the results of 50 regular season matches played, “Chaika” took 4th place in the “Golden” division, losing to representatives of Omsk, Chelyabinsk and Khanty-Mansiysk.
The current Kharlamov Cup playoffs are going well for Alexey Isakov’s team. The Torpedo youth team went through two rounds without any problems and with the same score. First, the Kazan Irbis was defeated with a score of 3:1, and in the next stage, Chaika left no chance for the Mammoths of Ugra, who won the Golden Division and became the winners of the East Cup. Thus, “Chaika” reached the semi-finals of the Kharlamov Cup for the second time in a row and will definitely become a bronze medalist.
