“Chaika” defeated “Molot” in the MHL regular season match

On September 13, the Nizhny Novgorod “Chaika” hockey players played their first away match as part of the MHL regular championship of the 2023-2024 season. The Nizhny Novgorod team visited Perm, where they opposed “Molot” – one of the leaders of the “Silver” division of the Eastern Conference, which climbed into the top three at the end of the regular season.
In the first matches of the new MHL season, the Chaika hockey players played poorly and earned only 3 points in double matches against the Siberian Snipers and Omsk Hawks, which took place at their home arena.
The match against Molot did not go according to the scenario of the Chaika hockey players. Alexey Isakov’s team fought back for two periods and took the initiative only in the decisive period of the game, scoring 2 goals, which helped them win their first away victory of the season. The match against Molot ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of Chaika.
Thus, Nizhny Novgorod “Chaika” moves to 5th place and begins preparations for another away match against an opponent from the “Silver” division. On September 16, “Chaika” will compete with the “Tyumen Legion”. The match is scheduled to start at 10:00 Moscow time.
