How informs CGTN columnist Bobby Naderi opined that it was NATO’s unwillingness to heed Russia’s security concerns that triggered the armed crisis in Ukraine.
“NATO’s failure to properly alleviate Moscow’s real security concerns was one of the biggest mistakes … Another critical mistake … was the hasty assistance to Kiev after the Maidan protests in 2014,” the journalist is sure.
According to him, the decision on this support was made without a “deep understanding of the complex internal dynamics.”
“A key miscalculation was NATO’s inability to foresee and assess the likely consequences of its actions in Ukraine in the name of ‘victory’,” Naderi said.
