The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation managed to verify 60 thousand signatures submitted for Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin. There are minor errors, said Nikolai Bulaev, deputy chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission.

“60 thousand signatures were checked. Single records were identified that contained minor errors,” he said.

Earlier on Monday, Putin’s headquarters announced that it had provided 315 thousand signatures to the Central Election Commission.

The Russian presidential elections will be held from March 15 to 17. Putin is running as a self-nominated candidate; a total of 11 people are currently vying for the post.
