Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu commented in an interview with Habertürk on rumors that he may leave the post of foreign minister after the general elections to be held on May 14.
“This is a matter at the discretion of the president,” Cavusoglu said.
He added that he would serve wherever the elected head of state appointed.
Earlier, the current President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, instructed the ruling party to nominate members of the Cabinet of Ministers as candidates for deputies. In particular, Cavusoglu is nominated from Antalya. It is expected that Erdogan, if re-elected president, will present a completely renewed cabinet.
