Categories of Russians who will be able to become early retirees in 2024 have been named

Some Russians will be able to retire early in 2024. Women aged 58 years and men 63 years old will have the right to receive an old-age insurance pension if two conditions are met: their insurance experience must be at least 15 years, and the number of pension points must be at least 28.2.

Those who have accumulated extensive work experience and those approaching retirement will be able to retire early, said Maria Solovichenko, an expert at the Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. “Gazeta.Ru”. According to her, women with 37 years of experience and men with 41 years of experience will receive this opportunity two years earlier than expected, but they must be over 55 and 60 years old, respectively.

The expert clarified that unemployed Russians of pre-retirement age will also be able to retire early.

“If a pre-retirement employee was dismissed due to staff reduction or in connection with the liquidation of an organization, he will be able to retire two years earlier than the deadline. But for this, three conditions must be met,” Solovichenko said.

First of all, the specialist notes, such a citizen must be registered with the employment service, and the search for work must be unsuccessful. Second condition: the minimum work experience for women is 20 years, for men – 25. They must also have a sufficient number of pension points. Final condition: no more than two years must remain before the pension is granted.

The decision on early retirement is made by the employment service with the consent of the citizen. In this case, the Social Fund of Russia calculates and assigns payments, the expert concluded.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab said that Russian pensioners are twice will index old-age payments in 2026 and 2027.

According to her, the new procedure for indexing pensions in Russia will start working in 2025. It is assumed that payments will be increased twice: according to the level of real inflation from February 1 and according to the level of real income from April 1.
