A case of measles was detected in a MIREA student
One of the students of the Russian Technological University MIREA became infected with measles. This information on Tuesday, April 25, was confirmed in a higher educational institution.
According to MIREA, in connection with this, classes in the university building on Stromynka Street are transferred to remote mode for 20 days. In other educational buildings, classes are still held in full-time mode.
Earlier, a case of measles was reported at the Moscow Polytechnic University. Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin has transferred classes to a remote format. Suspicions of infection of students with measles arose at the MAI and MISIS, but they were not confirmed.
Rospotrebnadzor emphasized that there is no risk of a measles epidemic in Russiamore than 95% of the population has been vaccinated against this disease. However, in some areas, the level of immunization does not reach values important for safety, therefore, in the Novosibirsk and Samara regions, as well as in Dagestan, a difficult situation has developed.
