CAS hearings in the case of figure skater Valieva postponed

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has postponed the hearing in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. They will continue on November 9-10, the court’s press service reports.
It is noted that the panel of arbitrators has already heard the opinions of RUSADA, ISU, WADA and Kamila herself. Afterwards, the commission asked for additional documentation.
“The hearings will continue on November 9 and 10, when the presentation of evidence will be completed,” the statement said.
After receiving the documentation, the panel will hear the parties’ closing submissions. Discussion will then take place and an arbitration award will be made.
Kamila took part in today’s meeting via video link.
Let us remind you that Valieva passed a positive doping test on December 25, 2021, but this became known at the Olympics. Valieva took part in the team tournament, the Russian team took first place.
