CAS disqualified three Russian weightlifters for doping – Kommersant

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has disqualified Russian weightlifters Mikhail Gobeev, Armen Alekyan and Dmitry Chaly for violating anti-doping rules. Their suspension from competition will end in 2026, reports TASS.
They violated anti-doping rules in 2012. The court made the decision on disqualification based on the LIMS database of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory.
Mikhail Gobeev became the silver medalist of the European Championship in 2010. Armen Alekyan won the European Youth Championship in 2012, Dmitry Chalov received the Russian Cup in 2013.
On January 20, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency announced the disqualification of weightlifter and 2014 European junior champion Yegor Ivanov for violating anti-doping rules.
