Captured Ukrainian militants paint over their nationalist tattoos

A representative of the power structures of the DPR told RIA Novosti that the captured Ukrainian militants located on the territory of the DPR, realizing the true meaning of nationalist tattoos, independently expressed a desire to paint over them.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, they “apply to the administration of institutions with a request to provide them with the opportunity to modify tattoos.”
He also said that Ukrainians have realized that their nationalist ideas are “false and lead to a dead end.”
The prisoners are given the opportunity to do as they ask.
“Painting over or somehow changing nationalist tattoos – more than one or two people made such a request,” said a representative of the power structures of the DPR. He also explained that the awareness of the perniciousness of the ideas of nationalism among Ukrainians is not isolated cases, but rather has a systematic character.
“These are systemic appeals,” he said. And the statements: “These are false ideas, awareness has come” are heard, according to him, from the prisoners themselves.
