Capital enterprises invite schoolchildren to professional internships

Moscow museums and industrial enterprises, as part of the Professional Internships project, prepared in January 2023 for schoolchildren a whole series of new excursions, master classes and presentations that will help children get to know different professions better, determine what they are interested in and what they would like study.

So, for almost the whole of January, the Museum of Municipal Economy will host thematic excursions, during which the children will learn about the work of the Moscow Municipal Complex and the arrangement of urban communications, together with mentors, they will calculate how much water, electricity and other resources the capital consumes every day, they will also be told , what information technologies are used in Moscow for urban management.

12 and January 26 Excursions will be held at the Museum of Main Gas Transportation, where schoolchildren will get acquainted with the history of gas production, learn about the pioneers of the gas industry, as well as how blue fuel is pumped and what modern technologies are currently used in the industry.

13, nineteen, 23 and January 31 excursions will be held at the Khrunichev Center, where the children will be told about the formation and development of domestic and world cosmonautics, the principles and technologies for creating rockets, ships and satellites. On January 14 Employees of the Moscow Machine-Building Enterprise named after V. V. Chernyshev prepared an excursion for the children about the aircraft industry, the history of the plant and its developments: turbojet engines for fighters. You can also plunge into the history of aviation on excursions at the S. V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex, which will take place sixteen, 23 and January 30. Here, schoolchildren will be told about new promising models, the use of modern technologies and nanomaterials.

17, nineteen, 23 and January 27 children will be able to go on excursions to the office of VK, one of the largest IT companies in the country. There they will be shown how the working day of employees works and how social networks, games, mail, food delivery, taxis and more coexist in the IT industry.

January 18 the children will have access to an excursion to the famous Apothecary Garden in the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University, January 20th — getting to know the inhabitants of the Moscow Zoo, January 26 — an excursion to the Floriculture Ecocenter at VDNKh, where they will get acquainted with the first exposition in Moscow to study the structure and behavior of the ant colony in real time.

January 19 a tour of the All-Russian Patent and Technical Library will take place, where schoolchildren will be told about Russian regional brands that have received the status of intellectual property. There will also be a round table on copyright protection.

January 24 Moscow schoolchildren will have a unique opportunity to visit the Podmoskovnaya depot, one of the most modern and advanced in the country. It is here that the Lastochka train is serviced. The guys will not only be shown around the workshops, but will also be shown a simulator – an imitation of an electric locomotive cabin.

24 and January 26 excursions will be held at the Krasnaya Zvezda printing house, where the children will learn how a modern printing complex works, see how the printing process works, and also get acquainted with the professions of the complex’s employees and modern production technologies.

Mospriroda employees will hold a series of online environmental education events for schoolchildren in January: January 12 they will talk about the unique natural objects of the Zelenogradsky reserve, January 16 What is snow and how does it form? January 17 introduce the children to the rules and principles of separate waste collection. January 18 schoolchildren will be able to learn about the peculiarities of northern nature and unusual ecosystems, and January 19 — gain experience in studying the traces of animals and birds in Moscow parks, learn about the features of their nutrition and behavior.

The Professional Internships project was launched in January 2016 by the City Methodological Center of the Department of Education and Science of the City of Moscow. Its goal is to help schoolchildren and students in their professional orientation, to expand the horizons of children and adolescents in the field of possible future professions.
