Canon reveals budget mirrorless camera EOS R8

Canon showed new full-size mirrorless camera, the EOS R8, billed as the world’s cheapest camera in its class.
The novelty received a 24.2 megapixel CMOS matrix in combination with a DIGIC X processor. The camera is capable of burst shooting at a frequency of 40 frames per second and shooting 4K 60p video with UHD resolution. Optical stabilization is provided when shooting photos and digital stabilization for videos.
The camera is equipped with a three-inch touch screen, supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless protocols for connecting the camera to a smartphone and computer for downloading and processing images. In addition, the EOS R8 can be used as a webcam for a computer.
Technically, the EOS R8 is a simplified version of the Canon EOS R6 Mark II shown at the end of 2022. Sales of the Canon EOS R8 will begin in the spring of 2023. The cost of the camera will be $1,500. A kit with a Canon RF 24-50mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens will cost $1,700.
