In the absence of discussion, the case is brought before the courts. TF1 is claiming from the Paris Commercial Court the reinstatement of its channels on the TNT Sat satellite distribution service. Canal+ fundamentally contests the dominant position of its adversary, which would offer bundled offers between its services and those of the SVOD Salto platform in which it is a shareholder.
“We had prepared this assignment before that of TF1 announced in the press earlier in the day.”said Wednesday evening to the newspaper Le Parisien / Today in France Laëtitia Ménasé, general secretary of Canal +.
According to her, the subpoena should be effective “by the end of the week” and benefit from an accelerated procedure allowing a decision before the end of the year.
