Canadian scientists find oldest dinosaur mummy

During the expedition, which took place in one of the parks in the Canadian province of Alberta, archaeologists stumbled upon the feet and tail of a dinosaur in the rock. Phys.org reports. After research, scientists found that the remains belonged to a young specimen of a platypus hadrosaur.
A large reptile lived 77-75 million years ago. At the same time, the death of the dinosaur itself is not associated with the general extinction of this species. Scientists have found that dinosaurs became extinct after 10 million years. The skin with scales of the individual was preserved due to the fact that the remains were covered with sand and river silt.
Archaeologists have suggested that the length of the platypus hadrosaur was about four meters, and some reptiles could reach 10 meters. However, to verify whether it was a young dinosaur or not, more research is needed.
