Canada was outraged by the award of third place to Russia after Valieva’s removal

The Canadian Figure Skating Federation has announced plans to “consider appeal options” in connection with the International Skating Union’s decision regarding the third place for the Russian team in the team tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games.
The International Skating Union awarded the Russian team third place after the decision in the case of Kamila Valieva. In Beijing, the Russian team scored 74 points, 20 of which were earned by Valieva. The USA received 65 points, Japan 63.
Canada was counting on the disqualification of the Russian team, since in this case third place would have been awarded to the athletes of this country.
