Cameroon refuses to play football match with Russia – Kommersant

The Cameroon national football team refused to hold a friendly match with the Russian team. According to the publication “Sport Express”the decision to ban the match was made by the Cameroonian government.
The friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Cameroon was to be held on June 15 at the Luzhniki Stadium. At the moment, the Russian team is suspended from participation in international competitions. In early April, RFU President Alexander Dyukov allowed matches with teams from Africa.
The Russian national team played Cameroon twice. In 1994, at the World Cup, the Russian team beat the Cameroonian team with a score of 6: 1. In 2011, a friendly match between the national teams ended with a score of 0:0.
