In Moscow, the star pastry chef and ex-boyfriend of Anastasia Volochkova Dmitry Duran was arrested; according to investigators, he deceived about 60 people out of 100 million rubles. Duran is accused of inviting investors to invest in his confectionery business, entering into contracts for 100 million rubles and disappearing, ceasing to return the money.
Duran was put on the federal wanted list back in April last year. Now Dmitry has been sent to a pre-trial detention center, he faces up to 10 years in prison. Anastasia Volochkova commented on the situation to MK.
– Will you help Dmitry Duran at the trial, for example, as a witness, if you are invited?
“My guardian angel is the Holy Great Martyr Anastasia,” answered Anastasia Volochkova. – From Greek this name is translated as “saving from prisons.” Of course, I won’t go to prison, but I believe that Dmitry Duran is an innocent man.
– How did you meet Dmitry?
– His company produces desserts and sweets. Once he presented me with a large bouquet of roses at a concert, and after that he treated my girls, participants in the show, to dessert.
Dmitry endeared himself to my soul with his beautiful deeds, and I invited him to my home, where not everyone is welcome. On the eve of the New Year, he came to me dressed as Father Frost, with gifts, a samovar and flowers. And the next day he just sent me 1000 white roses. Thank God, I sent them along with the flower pots – this is a beautiful thing. And we began to be friends with him, then we came up with a story about our wedding.
There are a lot of public and non-public people in my life; many can simply be set up. If Dmitry had been in hiding, he had something to hide – he would not have appeared at all public events until today.
