At the request of the leadership of the Sakharovo migration center, messages were placed on Moscow buses for a period of two months in Uzbek, Kyrgyz and Tajik languages with an appeal to join the Russian army. About it RBC reported in the press service of Mosgortrans, noting that they have now been taken off the air. Earlier, a photo was posted on social networks, in which a similar announcement was broadcast in the passenger compartment of the bus.
“When entering military service under a contract in the Russian Armed Forces, you can easily obtain Russian citizenship in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia,” the appeal said.
According to Mosgortrans, these appeals were placed on routes from the Prokshino metro station, from Podolsk, from the Lesoparkovaya metro station. The final stop of these routes is the Sakharovo migration center on Varshavskoye Highway.
At the end of September, President Vladimir Putin signed a law that simplifies the acquisition of citizenship by foreigners employed in the Russian army under a contract for a period of at least a year. The amendments will allow foreign citizens to apply for the acquisition of Russian citizenship without continuous residence in the country for five years, as well as without providing a residence permit.
The law was signed against the background of the partial mobilization announced on September 21.
